In this chapter you will learn how to teach magazine origins or feeder zero points.
Note: Before you start to teach magazine origins you first must measure the machine origin.
To teach magazine origins you have to remove all feeders from the machine and insert the magazine zero point feeder no. 4092 slot 1 of the front feeder bank.
Starting point is the main menu.
Press
to start the scanning of the feeder banks.
Next, press then
and finally
to open the following window:
1 - Enter slot number here
2 - Open the list of feeder bank slot allocation (3)
3 - Select slot number
4 - Step mode
5 - Teach mode
6 - Teach mode with auto-search
Enter slot number "1" in (1) or open the list (3) by clicking (2) to select the slot number from the list.
Use step mode (4) to check the magazine zero points.
Use teach mode (5) to teach the magazine zero points.
Use automatic search mode (6) insted of (5) to benefit from auto search of the feeder template; so you don't need to exactly move to the zero point.
After pressing the head camera moves to the saved coordinates of the magazine origin of slot 1. The following window opens:
1 - Feature is not used here
2 - Set movement speed
3 - Move the camera
4 - Set image brightness
5 - Save new position
Figure 2.3
Figure 3.3
In figure 2.3 and figure 3.3 the two support points of the magazine zero point feeder are mechanically worn-out. Do not use feeders of such a bad condition as you can't precisely teach the component pick position using such worn-out feeders.
The magazine zero point feeder is a sensitive standard of measurement. It is used to measure positions in a tolerance down to +/- 0.2 mm. Handle the magazine zero point feeder with great care.
Use the navigation buttons (3) to move to the center of the bore hole (origin datum). If you activated auto-search you can start the search by pressing . The new coordinates will be saved. The slot number will increase. Insert the magazine zero point feeder into the next slot and confirm the next measurement etc.
Due to the camera position at the head, the last , left-most slots can't be reached by the camera and thus can't be teached.
Enter the coordinates of the remaining slots (next figure, (2)) directly into the "magazine" coordinates database table (1). Incrementally subtract the difference of the X coordinate between two adjacent slots (16.67 mm) to define the new X value. For Y values use the mean value of previous slots.
